I think they may take the approach that this is a differentiator and could give them an edge. Zebra is so integrated into Motorola devices that they probably should be owned by Motorola BUT you still need 2 phone numbers to support your system. With the Honeywell / Intermec merger the other Honeywell (LXE/HHP) devices will have a chance to get some development on work boards / other convenience accessories. This is great for pulling printer/label revenue along with mobile devices. And let's not forget one phone number for support! Maybe Motorola will purchase Zebra? BUT as you say it is speculation at this point...
