The end of barcode labels.? That's a tough pill to swallow when your when your business/livelihood revolves around barcode labels. However, this question is asked just too early in my honest opinion. Usually, striking a conversation about the beginning of the end comes at a time when something new is apparent to be moving the market in another direction. Color and watermark??? Did VDC take into account the may businesses that still use pen and paper and have not yet adopted barcodes? Is the label printer market saturated? Sure, I can easily agree with that. However, with today's needs/standards to look in your fridge, pantry, closet, toy chest, online store, etc. barcodes and product marking just cannot be removed.
